RECYCLING & WASTE SORTING

Dozens of vision-guided pickers and sorters from several vendors, served from one pool, so a new material is learned once for the whole line.

A recycling line at night: a long conveyor of mixed material passing under a row of robotic sorting pickers and their cameras, each lit by its own amber work light.

THE PROBLEM

Where the work is.

A sorting line is a wall of cameras and pickers, often from more than one vendor, each carrying its own model of what passes beneath it. The stream changes with the season and the region, and each picker learns it separately or not at all. A pool behind the whole line learns the material once and serves every picker that asks.

CONSTRAINTS

Why a GPU on every machine fails here.

  • Each picker carries a GPU sized for its busiest moment and idle in between.

  • A new material or packaging is learned once per vendor instead of once per line.

  • Footage of the stream is the facility's data and its training material.

  • Vendor clouds meter the very learning the line depends on.

DEPLOYMENT

How the Grid deploys.

  1. 01

    Place the pool

Czar nodes in the building's own rack, on the building's own network.

  2. 02

    Connect the fleet

Each vendor's software calls the pool. Safety and motion stay on the machine.

  3. 03

    Run the site's tasks

Authored, approved, and recorded in Agency Studio on the Grid.

REPRESENTATIVE USE CASES

What a site runs on it.

Illustrative capabilities, not accounts of specific deployments.

  • Every picker on the line, one pool

Dozens of vision-guided pickers served from one pool, so a new material is learned once, not once per picker or per vendor.

  • A line that learns the local stream

Models adapt to the facility's own waste stream on its own footage, on the pool, without exporting a frame.

Reading and boundary

READING

A sorting line that learns a material once

A sorting line is a wall of cameras and pickers, often from more than one vendor, each carrying its own model of what passes beneath it. A pool behind the whole line learns the stream once and serves every picker.

Safety, stops and motion stay on the machine as its vendor built them. Czar Grid serves perception, decisions and adaptation over the site's network; it is not a controller and does not sit inside any real-time or safety loop.
