RAIL DEPOTS & MAINTENANCE YARDS

Under-frame, pantograph, and wheel inspection from robots and drones, and the shunting and wash tasks that cross vendors, on the depot's own pool.

A rail depot at night: a train standing over the inspection pit with a tracked inspection robot working underneath and a drone at the pantograph, under amber gantry lights.

THE PROBLEM

Where the work is.

A depot inspects the same train every night, with robots, drones, and fixed cameras from different suppliers, and it keeps the record of what it found for years. The inspection models are too large for a crawler to carry and the findings too sensitive to send away. A pool in the depot runs them and holds the record.

CONSTRAINTS

Why a GPU on every machine fails here.

  • Inspection robots from different suppliers each want their own cloud.

  • A finding must be in the record before the train leaves, not after a sync.

  • Inspection imagery and maintenance history are the operator's.

  • Tasks that cross vendors — shunting, wash, inspection — have no single place to be written.

DEPLOYMENT

How the Grid deploys.

  1. 01

    Place the pool

Czar nodes in the building's own rack, on the building's own network.

  2. 02

    Connect the fleet

Each vendor's software calls the pool. Safety and motion stay on the machine.

  3. 03

    Run the site's tasks

Authored, approved, and recorded in Agency Studio on the Grid.

REPRESENTATIVE USE CASES

What a site runs on it.

Illustrative capabilities, not accounts of specific deployments.

  • Inspection under the train, on site

Under-frame, pantograph, and wheel inspection from robots and drones runs on the depot's pool; the records stay in the depot.

  • A task the depot can sign

Shunting, wash, and inspection tasks that cross vendors, written once, bounded, approved by a named role, and replayable.

Inspection robots on a depot's own pool

A depot inspects the same train every night with crawlers, drones, and cameras from different suppliers, and keeps what it finds for years. A Czar Grid in the depot runs the inspection models and holds the record.

Safety, stops and motion stay on the machine as its vendor built them. Czar Grid serves perception, decisions and adaptation over the site's network; it is not a controller and does not sit inside any real-time or safety loop.
